In 2016, I began using lean manufacturing to re-organize my small scene shop in North Port, Fl.. Since then, I have used the lean manufacturing philosophy to help re-organize shops of varying size across the country. In 2024, I wrote an Article for TD&T magazine that explored how adapting lean manufacturing principles in theatrical shops can help to increase productivity and quality while reducing costs. This system has been proven to work in all shops, even ones as small as broom closets, and it is multi-disciplinary.
